Trafford All Terrain Challenge to include an 8km cross trail race, mile challenge and trail race in July

A three-day challenge event for runners looking to test themselves over a range of distances is to take place in Trafford in July.

The Trafford All Terrain Challenge (ATC) will be held from July 15-17 and is to offer cash prizes and Myprotein vouchers for the winners.

The first event on the Friday will be an 8km cross trail race followed by a mile challenge on Sale Water Park on the Saturday.

The final day will offer a three mile trail race along the banks of the River Mersey.

The winners will be the runners with the lowest points totals across the three stages. Details of the prizes up for grabs can be found here.

"The Mersey Valley is a great area for runners with a mix of terrain and distances this event is targeted at all abilities of runner," said event organiser Stephen Green.

"These festivals are popular in places such as Guernsey, so we thought why not in the Mersey Valley?" he added.

Trafford ATC is grateful for the support of both MyProtein and Trafford Council.

Trafford ATC is also partnering with charity organisations The Ron Pickering Memorial Fund and Meningitis Now.
